MISSION
The Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission exists to enhance the quality of life for all citizens of the district through the development of recreation programs that promote a lifestyle of wellness, physical activities and cultural experiences for all ages.
The Recreation District
The Irmo Chapin Recreation District was formed in 1969 to serve community members living in the Lexington County portion of School District Five. Over the years, ICRC has earned a reputation for program and facility excellence and has attracted participants from surrounding counties. Because their tax dollars support recreation services, ICRC district residents receive discounted rates for programs and facility rentals (excludes Saluda Shoals Park) upon proof of residency.
