In accepting a student intern, the Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission is assisting the preparation of future professionals in the field of parks, recreation and tourism management by helping institutions of higher education produce individuals better qualified for responsible positions. The Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission has the desire to support this educational process and is willing to cooperate with the Universities in preparing young professionals.

ICRC is offering a summer Counselor in Training program specifically for 15 year olds interested in summer internship opportunities. Counselor in Training participants will assist with the Summer Safari Day Camp program, learning the skills necessary for a future camp counselor position.
