Real Team Challenge Course at Saluda Shoals Park

Get your employees out of the office, break down political and personal barriers, eliminate distractions, and most of all, have some FUN!

The Real Team Challenge Course is a low ropes program at Saluda Shoals Park offering a series of physical and mental challenges designed to improve the performance and cohesiveness of a group.

Development and leadership concepts are taught through a series of action-based learning activities.  Each challenge draws on the knowledge of every person on the team and requires group participation and cooperation for success.

After each challenge is complete, experienced facilitators lead discussions exploring ways to become a more effective team.  Real Team activities can also be customized to meet the needs of your organization.

Step out of the comfort zone and into the learning zone with Real Team!

What is a Low Ropes Course?

A series of cables, ropes and wooden beams placed among the trees form the elements of the Real Team Challenge Course. The elements are built close to the ground so the perceived risk is low, but still challenging to complete.

Participants walk tight-ropes, negotiate obstacles, balance elements as a team, pass teammates through a giant web and climb walls.  During each element, teams explore risk

taking, problem-solving, leadership skills and effective communication and with a strong focus on collaboration.

Participants gradually expand their comfort zones and begin to recognize issues block professional and personal achievement.  Each challenge requires that team members actively support each other in order to succeed.

Challenge Course programs are typically half day, full day or several days in length and

can be designed to suit your team’s individual goals.  So bring out the best in your

team–create better workers, thinkers and team players!
