Travel & Excursions
Enjoy an adventure with the senior travelers! Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission trips are specifically designed for individuals ages 50 and older, but are open to anyone over age 18. Anyone under 18 years must be approved by the Recreation Commission prior to registration. Register over the phone or at the front desk in Crooked Creek Park or Seven Oaks Park. Day Trips
Harrah's Cherokee Casino
What’s Included:
- Fri, Mar 14 2025, 7:30am - 8:30pm

The trip will depart Seven Oaks Park at 7:30 a.m. and Crooked Creek Park at 8:00 a.m. and return at 8:30 p.m.

Buc-ee's
Famous for its exceptionally clean restrooms, Texas-style barbecue food like brisket sandwiches, unique snacks like "Beaver Nuggets," a wide selection of merchandise, and a generally large and well-maintained store space, Buc-ee's is considered the "Disney World of gas stations" by fans.

Overnight and Extended Trips
If you love to get out of town, then join us for some of our overnight or extended trips. Some overnight trips are provided directly by Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission, but some are offered through tour companies like Diamond Tours and Collette Vacations.
