This summer, Crooked Creek Park Summer Safari campers are selling lemonade and treats on Fridays to raise money for our Meals on Wheels program, benefiting Chapin seniors in need. Through the lemonade stand, our older campers gain valuable life skills in service, responsibility, and teamwork while learning the value of giving back to their community. Stop by the Summer Safari pick-up area on Fridays between 3:00-5:30 p.m., grab a treat, and support both our campers and a meaningful community program.

We’re excited to share a special addition to Saluda Shoals Park! This past Saturday, the Saluda Shoals Foundation celebrated the unveiling of a new sculpture by award-winning South Carolina artist Bob Doster, created with assistance from ICRC’s Summer Safari 2025. Last summer, campers traced turtle designs onto stainless-steel sheets and had the opportunity to assist in cutting out the turtles used in the final sculpture—and even named them: Rocky, Sheldon, and Tori. This installation is part of Saluda Shoals Park’s ongoing effort to bring public art into the park and create meaningful cultural experiences for the community.
