Exciting progress is underway at the Environmental Education Center at Saluda Shoals Park! Phase One of the renovations continues to move forward, and the new outdoor deck has been rebuilt and is really taking shape. This project is made possible through a partnership between the Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission and the Saluda Shoals Foundation to renew and expand this important community facility. The renovations include an expanded outdoor deck for programs and gatherings, as well as new ADA-accessible restrooms to improve comfort and accessibility for all visitors. We’re excited to see this progress and look forward to welcoming visitors to an improved, more inclusive Center for generations to come. Board Member Spotlight: Jill Areheart Meet Jill Areheart, a valued member of the Saluda Shoals Foundation Board since 2020. Jill brings her professional expertise as Senior Director of Customer Success at Duck Creek Technologies, where she focuses on building strong, lasting relationships with clients. She shares her life with her husband, Keith Marsh, and they are proud of their stepson currently serving in the U.S. Army in Japan. At home, Jill is never short on company—with a house full of cats to keep things lively.
