Job Title: Part-time Foundation Clerical Assistant

Description of Duties: This position is responsible for clerical and administrative duties, ensuring the smooth operation of the foundation’s day-to-day activities. Responsibilities include basic bookkeeping, maintaining the accuracy and currency of foundation member records, and communicating effectively with foundation and board members. This role requires independent thinking, good judgment, and excellent computer skills.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher
  • Experience using QuickBooks and donor databases
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

  • Collecting and processing weekly donations, deposits, and reconciliations
  • Maintaining and updating member records
  • Preparing communications for foundation activities
  • Coordinating monthly board meetings

Weekly Schedule: 15 hours per week (flexible)

Hourly Range: $11.50 - $16.50

About the Foundation

The Saluda Shoals Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization which serves to support and protect Saluda Shoals Park through financial support, fostering partnerships, supporting programs and creating community awareness of the park's exceptional outdoor recreational activities, environmental education, and cultural opportunities.

The volunteer board of directors is dedicated to the park's development and is guided by the following covenant:
